Loaves and something fishy

The march/caravan of the  5-thousand/7-thousand people, (a multitude) across the dusty roads of Honduras, Guatemala and Mexico recalls a Biblical story about loaves and fishes.

In Mathew chapter 14, a multitude has been listening to Jesus all day. The disciples remind Jesus it is now evening, the people are hungry, and they must go into the villages to buy themselves victuals.  Jesus says they don’t have to go, you feed them.

At that point I’m sure the disciples looked at each other with some measure of perplexity as they pointed out to Jesus, ” you know we have only five loaves and two fishes.”

Jesus took over.  “Everybody sit down.”  He took the 5 loaves and the 2 fishes and looking to heaven blessed them, and gave the bread and the fish to the disciples who gave them to the multitude and then Jesus said, “OK, so let’s eat!”  And they did. And all were filled. Afterwards. The disciples gathered up the leftovers, twelve baskets full!!!

And how many ate? The Bible says, ” About 5 thousand men, beside women and children.”

Now CNN may have a different take on this but we’re pretty sure Jesus and the disciples aren’t trudging along with the five to seven thousand bound for the 2018 version of Goshen, so from whom  is this multitude getting its loaves and fishes?

We have been told these people are poverty-stricken.  That they are travelling with no visible means of support leaving behind a miserable existence that presumably  precluded any thought of putting together a travel fund.   So we can assume they have not been tapping into ATM’s along the way.   You could suggest crowd-sourcing.  In fact I remember a Rabbi postulate that rather than believe Christ performed a miracle, everyone in that multitude was asked to check their pockets, presumably for bread and fish, and they did and that’s how everybody was filled to the gunnels.  So maybe this modern version of the Goths and Visigoths is marching toward life in America on shared scraps of bread, fish and water.  But I doubt it!  Adding to this  observation is a communications failure.

The reporting of U-S media types on the scene has been pathetic.  Embarrassing. In fact their refusal to ask even the basic who, what, where, why and when contributes to the observation that  the mainstream media in the US has become the greatest enemy.

CNN would have us believe this a march of spontaneity, driven by the desperate needs of thousands.  But CNN is the last place I would go for any kind veracity.  Mendacity sure!

Who came up with the idea and when?  Why did it have to coincide with the mid-term elections in  the States? How is the support money, liason and logistics being shared? And, what is the plan when you get to the United States and face the guns of October?

And by the way, it would be helpful to know who among the (five, seven or ten thousand) can be classified as dangerous. Who have been deported from the States?  Any criminals in the multitude?

All these questions are begging for answers and without fear of contradiction I can say you won’t get them from any of the networks, including this guy Sheppard who has got to one of the dumbest people Fox has on staff! He’s been gunning for Trump ever since Hilary lost.  And his reporting on the Caravan proves it.  Because of this failure by the media to do their job we know very little about the army that continues its march to Zion.

BUT we do know something. No biblical miracle is feeding this horde.

So who is funding the enormous cost of providing food, water and medicine to the 5-thousand?  And where are the toilet facilities?  Haven’t seen one Johnny on the spot.

But more to the point, Where are the leaders of this Army and Who are they and Why haven’t they been found?  Of course if you have reporters who are cheerleading the story rather than working to ferret out detail, the opaque nature of the plans will remain.

This means that the news people don’t want us to know the plans, the purpose, the end game, suggesting the Mainstream Media is complicit.

Think about it.  You’re a reporter and you have free reign among a crowd of 5-thousand people, each one with a story to tell that they want to tell and you can’t satisfy the need to know, WHO is paying the freight, WHO is designing the strategy.

Why don’t we know? Because you’re not a real reporter.  You’re a shill.  You’re a fraud.  You’re a disgrace.

Thousands of people have been marching for days sustained by food, water, and facilities provided by person or persons unknown.   No idea who is providing the “bread?”

Now who doesn’t think that’s fishy?

“You can’t make this stuff up!”

Today (September 12, 2018) the Washington Post stretched it’s credibility beyond the pale and shuttered whatever was left of its attempt to be taken seriously.

Today the Editorial Board of the Post made Donald R. Trump “complicit” for Hurricane Florence.  The reasoning, according to this group of unnamed journalistic simpletons is quite simple—Trump is responsible for Florence because of his views on climate change.

The rationalization used by the Post’s Editorial Board in blaming Trump fits nicely with the incomprehensible ramblings of a pathetic wino.

Quoting from the Post—“It is hard to attribute any single weather event to climate change.  But there is no reasonable doubt that humans are priming Earth’s systems to produce disasters.”

The Post Editorial wizards nailed the complicity factor squarely on the screws saying:

“When it comes to extreme weather, Mr. Trump is complicit.  He plays down humans’ role in increasing the risks, and he continues to dismantle efforts to address those risks.”

It’s as if these risks came into being exactly when Trump came into office.

I’m sure we can find a Democrat, someone like the wild-eyed Maxine Waters, who will want to add Trump’s “complicity” in the Hurricane Florence caper to the Mueller inquiry and make it a two-pronged attack of collusion and complicity.  Linking Trump’s complicity to causing extreme weather will be easier to prove than Trump’s collusion with the Russians, making Mueller’s job so much easier.  After all the “complicit” evidence is documented on film and on tape.  Mueller won’t have to use a phony Fiser warrant to prove “collusion”.

Look at the evidence against Trump –  A long, steady drumbeat of violent weather:

Hurricane Mathew 2016; Irene 2011; Isobel 2003; also Floyd, Bonnie and Fran. all targeting the Carolinas. ” Trump is complicit.”

There can be no other reason for Hurricane Florence and all the rain that it plans to dump on the Carolinas, Virginia and Georgia over the next few days except that Trump is “complicit.” Hurricanes never before came with buckets of rain and flooding and loss of life.  Trump will cause the resulting mayhem and more.  Just ask the POST!

The Editorial Board of the Washington Post has spoken and hopes  this “complicity”will add another piece of timber to the gangplank that will feel the two feet of Donald R. Trump as he is unceremoniously  dumped into the dark abyss in which he is “complicit”.

“Collusion” with Russia is small potatoes by comparison.  “Complicity” to bring about city-leveling hurricanes and typhoons is big stuff and we thank the Editorial Ishkibbles at the Post for giving us the heads up.

Reaction to this latest desperate attempt to blame Trump for everything is predictable. We all know the Democrats will applaud the Post and the Republicans will equivocate.

Some get it right.

Conservative strategist Chris Barron says daily the mainstream media finds new ways to embarrass themselves and further erode American confidence in them.

“The media won’t give Trump credit for the economy but they will blame  him for a hurricane.”

“You can’t make this stuff up.”

They came with Weapons of Mass Destruction…….

Mayor John Tory and a majority of Counselors who sit on his Executive Committee, the ruling Junta at Toronto City Hall, ran for cover May 14 to save themselves the embarrassment of being reminded that they approved an expenditure of three billion, three hundred and thirty-five million dollars without due diligence!

The story in a nutshell: seven members of the public went to City Hall to speak to the Executive Committee as part of the process allowing citizens to offer opinion, advice and criticism.  The issue: the cover up of an expenditure of three and a half billion dollars and counting.  When Mayor J. Tory and other members of the committee complicit in this expenditure realized that they didn’t want anybody talking about it again, the Executive Junta approved a motion deferring the subject indefinitely, abruptly shutting down the right of the public to speak to this matter of importance to the taxpayers of Toronto.  You would have thought the Group of Seven had brought along WMD’s, weapons of mass destruction!  Of course words well chosen and properly directed can be destructive if the target is as vulnerable as this one.

The cover-up:  several years ago Mayor Tory and  a majority of Councillors approved the building of one subway stop at the cost of three billion three hundred and thirty-five million.  Some taxpayers offered disbelief, others suggested Toronto Councillors were sitting on their brains because there is substantial evidence showing the approval was made absent details worthy of  a project this costly.

But it gets worse!  Toronto was offered a Light Rail Alternative to the one-stop Subway station.  The Seven stop LRT was to be fully funded by the province and would have been  commuter ready next year.  Now we all know that if Councillors were spending their own money, the LRT option would be a shoo-in.  But how you spend taxpayers money isn’t that important to many members of Toronto Council.  Taxpayers of Toronto are on the hook for this baby.

But it’s gets worse!  A  study was undertaken comparing the  7-stop LRT plan and the one stop Scarborough subway extension.  The idea was to determine value-for-money.

The report was buried.  The draft analysis concludes the Subway “was not a worthwhile use of money” compared to the Light Rail Transit.  But details never surfaced.  You can only speculate on how ridiculous Mayor Tory and his fellow travellers would look if they did.

Incredibly, although Councillors have never seen a value-for-money report, they approved a motion which cancelled the LRT proposal at a cost to the taxpayers of some Seventy Million dollars.  Add that to the projected cost of the subway  ($3.35 billion) plus the Toronto habit of allowing a 20% overrun on City-funded projects and you can figure a one stop subway station for more than four billion.

But it gets worse.  Because City Council has allowed itself to get involved in flim-flam and subterfuge and hasn’t the jam to admit the “Subway to bankruptcy” should never have been approved, it now shuts down taxpayers who have every right to demand answers.   And the Mayor and his Executive Committee toadies need to show some respect for the democratic process even though they continue to show no regard for taxpayers money!

Of course politcians who have something to hide always fear WMD’s.

Nazis in the newsroom…..

Once upon a time the reporting of  politically motivated events came to us from news correspondents well versed in the gamesmanship of propaganda.  They knew who was trying to make political points and said so.  Not anymore.

Case in vivid point: the reporting of the bloodbath in Gaza on May 15th, 2018.

I read with interest the front page story in the Toronto Star looking for the reasons why a so-called peaceful demonstration had turned up the bloodiest battle between the Israelis and the Palestinians in four years.  I didn’t get the reason on the front page.  What I got was a condemnation of  Israeli forces who, we were told, confronted the many who came to demonstrate peacefully with tear gas, bullets and snipers.  The story noted that some young Palestinian men brought knives and fence cutters.  I turned to Page 4 still looking for something definitive about the reasons for the violence.  Finally, halfway down the third column, the Washington Post reporters who wrote the story for the Star quoted a White House spokesman who said, “the responsibility for these tragic deaths (59 at last count) rests squarely with Hamas.” The rest of the story gave us no more insight on why the Israelis savagely attacked the peaceful gathering of Palestinians protesting the movement of the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

But unless you are anti-Semitic or a moron you know the Star story courtesy of the Washington Post was incredibly incomplete.  There was no mention in  this story of the young men with Molotov cocktails, kite bombs, and other weapons to aid in the ultimate goal, “get inside Israel and kill some Jews”  Numerous reports reveal that radical Palestinian groups, especially the terrorist group Hamas, planned the chaos and encouraged the violence.  Photos and videos show a variety of weapons and explosives being used by the “unarmed, peaceful” Palestinians making the bloody scene more akin to war than a demonstration.  Not appearing in the Star story were the words of a 23 year old Palestinian, Mohammed Mansoura, who told the Washington Post Hamas organizers urged demonstrators to burst through the fence separating Gaza from Israel!

“We are excited to storm and get inside”, he said.  And then what, he was asked.”Whatever is possible, to kill, to throw stones.”

But the Star, The Post, New York Times, CNN, MSNBC–and the rest of the liberal mainstream media again gave us the familiar narrative: Israeli soldiers shot at and killed innocent, unarmed Palestinians who had arrived to demonstrate peacefully with their picnic baskets and children in hand.

The coverage of the “Riots at Zeitoun” May, 2018 tells me the spirit of Joseph Goebbels is alive and well.

The Nazis are back!

Doug Ford?….are you out of your mind?

It’s cuckoo time in Ontario!  The party of Bill Davis has become a habitation of the dimwitted and cockeyed ishkabibbles!

Having kicked Christine Elliot to the curb for the third time, inexplicably tagging her “unfit to lead” yet again, this collection of the bizarre, like Randy Hillier, chose Doug Ford!

Are you people out of your minds?  The short answer is obvious!

And now aided and abetted by the Queen’s Park news corps, probably the laziest collection of reporters in the country, the Premier’s office has been conceded to Ford and the Lincoln that goes with it.   Has a Queen’s Park reporter ever delivered a hard ball question?  Another story, another time.  Back to the current nightmare!

Piffle, balderdash and poopycock  because there is a lot more to be said about possibly handing the reins of office to this collection of political misfits.  Doug Ford for all his faults, his abrasive attitude, his goofyness trying to protect late brother Rob, the mayor, and his Trumpian tendency to make stupid statements, “….city councillors are little monkeys… ” he is not the major problem.  That rests with a group of just about the dumbest collection of people to have ever assembled under the Conservative Party umbrella.  Inexplicably they have been a unit for the better part of fifteen years.  The mind boggles!

Not since Bill Davis, with the exception of Mike Harris, has this party been so clueless  and you could make a case that he was too.  Clueless.  Nevertheless he made Premier.

Look who they elected leader after Ernie Eves, who should have been easy to eclipse,  John Tory, Tim Hudak, Patrick Brown eschewing  three opportunities to drag the Conservative Party into the 20th century, let alone the 21st, by electing a woman to lead and they wind up with the mistake-prone Tory, the abrasive Mr. Hudak and the misfit Patrick Brown.  In the wings waiting  but never called upon to show the rest of the province that Conservatives could come up with a brilliant talented female leader were the aforementioned Ms. Elliot plus Janet Ecker and Elizabeth Witmer, all holders of several cabinet portfolios. And there were other Harris distaff talents all sadly ignored  by the dinosaurs that populate the party that is now led by the inexperienced Mr. Ford.

Ontario is in big trouble….the polls say the Liberals are toast and the reality is that in spite of great opportunity for success, Andrea Horwath has failed to step up, and the Conservatives who couldn’t organize a two car parade are preparing for victory.

America has Trump and the Lord knows we don’t need that kind of sulleness here.

So let’s put our heads together, put a fire under the Horwath campaign, split the vote and elect ourselves an honest to goodness minority government because that is best for all Ontario!

Why?  Because there ain’t a dimes worth of difference in political parties today…they all promise, they all break  promises, none can balance a budget, all favour their friends and cronies.  George Wallace convinced so many Americans of the truth in that statement during the 1972 U.S presidential campaign  that they had him shot, and crippled.  Right or left makes no difference. They are wings on the same bird.

Let’s go with odds and ends….

The odds encompass a wide range of silliness that accumulate, sometimes as really important issues such as, who is plugging the toilet in Sheboygan, Wisconsin?

Or why do photos of  members of the United States Congress with Louis Farrakan keep showing up even as the subjects deny having anything to do with this hater of jews and white people?  This list of friends all seem to come from the Democratic Party.  Really!  Why?

Or why was it fine for U-S president Obama to send congratulations to Vladimir Putin in 2012 after he was re-elected President of Russia but not OK for U-S president Donald Trump to do the same after Putin’s  re-election in 2018?  Do we suppose Putin’s victory in 2012 was a triumph without ballot box stuffing and the arrests of possible challenges?

Or why are all the lawyers on the Mueller Investigation team Democrats, half of whom sent money to the Clinton campaign.  You wonder if any sent money to The Donald.?

Or why can’t late night comedians find jokes that are actually funny?   Do Americans really believe that Jimmy Kimmel and Seth Myers are funny?  You want funny see the recent Facebook posting of George Carlin on the Jimmy Dean show.  I know that’s goes back years..but it’s been a long time since we’ve seen comedy that’s not laced with cruel political folderol.  How about Flip Wilson’s ugly baby story on the Carson show.  That was funny!

Or when will Canada’s Prime Minister grow-up?  Our dollar is in need of some serious policy upgrades.

Now there are some who will not think some of the Odds are odd which is odd but let me see if I can get an agreement on at least one oddity! Last week Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren and filmmaker Michael Moore were involved in a televised town hall that focused on “inequality” in America.
They slammed wealthy Americans,  got the crowd worked up about the excesses of America’s 1% and generally moaned and groaned about the excesses of the rich.

Journalist Gary McIntyre decided to plumb the riches of the accusers, Sanders, Warren and Moore.  Sanders he noted likes to parade around Washington, D.C in a rumpled suit with unkempt hair, just like a no account off the street.  Sanders, according to McIntyre is doing swell–just bought a 600-thousand dollar house, earned $858, 000 in book royalties and with his Senate salary  pulled in more than a million in earnings in 2016.  Sanders says wealthy people are, “never satisfied, always wanting more.”  In 2016 Sanders was a one per center.  Does he wants more?

Senator Warren, according to CNN money is worth between $3.7 million and $10 million.

Has a Victorian home in Cambridge now assessed at $1.9 million and received an advance of $525,000 to write her book,  A fighting chance.  She claims to be fighting for  the middle and working class presumably with her one percent!.

Moore who has said the level of greed by the wealthy is “crazy” while working himself into a frenzy–denouncing business leaders living in “gated communities” and “castles with moats around them.”  His documentaries, “Bowling for Columbine” and “Fahrenheit 911.” helped him heap together a fortune of $50-million.  His 2013 divorce proceedings revealed the couple’s house was a 10-thousand-square-foot Michigan mansion.  Gated.

Don’t know about the moat but Madonna and Bruce Willis were living in the same neighborhood!  “Crazy.”

Now for the ends—there’s a serial toilet clogger on the loose in Sheboygan, Wisconsin!

Over the past year and a half this person, believed to be a male, has clogged the women’s toilet at the Deland Community Centre 26 times in 2016/17 and three times so far this year costing thousands of dollars for labour and repair.  Plus the inconvenience.

Sheboygan’s superintendant of parks and forestry says, “we can’t figure this one out.”

The culprit is  inserting  20 ounce soda bottles into the pipes of the women’s washroom.

Make a Show…please

Toronto, Ontario’s jewel by the lake likes to think of itself as a world-class city….and in some cases it lives up to that image!

Major contributions supporting W-C status are TIFF, – international film festival; the CN tower a phallic symbol of some renown; the Skydome, a baseball palace;  and a vibrant, thriving downtown core….Toronto has all these things and more, what it doesn’t have is the desire to produce a Home Show worth attending.

Luckly it is teamed with the annual Bloom show a superb presentation that exudes class, creativity and consistency.  Year after year the Bloom show  “makes a show” while it’s pathetic cousin, The Home Show underscores the lethal combination of bad planning and terrible optics!  While the Bloom show arrives with a theme, this year, “Let’s GO to the movies, the Home Show arrives.

The Bloom Show theme is developed , coordinated  and presented by excellent workmanship, much planning and talented participants….The Home Show is not.

This year’s H-S theme is  banal and uninteresting.

“Everything connected to your home, ” –duh, really?  Wow.

What should we get excited about?  The scores of hot tubs scattered in different sections of the huge Enercare Centre, the unimaginative displays suggesting a warehouse of ordinary products supervised by the disinterested,  a paucity of products that excite the future, just no reason to think you are not at your local hardware, lumber yard or kitchen renovation centre–looking at products that you have seen a hundred times before!  The dullness of it all reflects poorly on its proclamation as, The National Home Show .  This tired excuse for a so-called National venture couldn’t draw a crowd in Saskatoon.  In fact yesterday, Tuesday, March 13 there were so few foot-sore attendees they closed the Food Court at 6PM,  dinnertime.  Officially the show closed at 8 o’clock!

Except for the glorious Canada Blooms show featuring floral designs by international artists they could have closed it’s twin, the National Home show at 3:30 when all the buses that brought in Bloom show enthusiasts left town.

The National Home Show is a poor reflection what a World Class city should expect from major contributors to the health and wealth of the huge homebuilding, furnishing and lighting industry.  This is a metropolis of 6-million people!

The NHS shows none of the imagination, showmanship and depth this city deserves.

Either fixit or close it.

You want to be inspired as you prepare to welcome another glorious Spring … become inspired at Canada Blooms and try and forget you had to pass through the decrepit Home Show to get to it.

And don’t get me started on that excuse for a Dream Home!

Pollyanna Pedestrian Policy—-a killer

Toronto has a major problem!  Pedestrians are losing their lives in frightening numbers!

The carnage, 9 dead in the first two months of the year, has finally caught the Mayor’s attention who declared in his typical leading from behind political style, “we cannot have this carnage continue.”

OK Mayor John Tory how do you plan to deal with this, “crisis?”

His boldest suggestion to date was  to ask city staff to consider how they might speed up the city’s road safety plans…yea right—he’s asking a desk bound staff, that are slaves to  processes, and hog-tied by a goofy “pedestrians are royalty” advocacy group  to solve “a major crisis .”  Good luck.

I’ve got a suggestion for you John, do what nobody at Gravy Train Central has thought of doing, go stand on a city intersection, any city intersection and the light will come one in a nano second and you’ll see why pedestrians are being cut down on Toronto’s streets in record numbers.

Today I stood at the corner of Bay and Cumberland and in three minutes counted 13 pedestrian violations–jay walking, walking against the lights, ignoring that flashing hand–as a matter of fact that flashing hand is the most useless appendage in the ineffective plan to save the endangered pedestrians……………..save the electricity that makes it flash and turn them off, nobody is paying attention to the message they are trying to portray at a thousand intersections.  A half hour later I was at the intersection of Bay and Yorkville….for those not familiar with Toronto Yorkville Village is Tony to a T..smart people walk the streets of Yorkville….but what I saw was a display of just plain stupidity!

Numerous repeats of what I saw at Bay and Cumberland but the one violation I had trouble getting my head around was watching a Mom and a Dad with two kindergarten age children defy the gods and cross Bay against a RED light….

Their defiance and all the other violations can be traced to the advocacy group called Walk Toronto..this group came into the city’s consciousness a few years ago with a message, “Pedestrians are royalty!” Toronto must modify it’s vehicular-centric mindset and embrace a culture shift around safety!  Well what’s wrong with that?

Not a thing!  But from that debut to the “crisis” today in early 2018 Walk Toronto and its adherents, some of them in City Council have talked only about motorists—motorists must slow down, motorists must be alert to jaywalkers, motorists have to take into consideration the right of people to walk anywhere in safety regardless of their predilection to disregard basic rules and common sense!  In the hand-wringing statements tumbling out of City Hall I have yet to see the obvious —that pedestrians bear as much responsibility for their safety as motorists.  And I guarantee until pedestrians in the city of Toronto are put on notice, by the members of Council and the police the carnage will continue.  Walk Toronto’s blind advocacy for the rights of pedestrians while pummeling motorists is exactly why Mayor Tory has a carnage problem and it’s why the streets of Toronto will continue to experience excessive pedestrian fatalities.

Walking casually while crossing a street,  playing with your cellphone may not be illegal but it’s classic stupidity–incredibly,  Walk Toronto thinks that’s Ok!  Because Walk Toronto speaks only for those who walk blindly ignoring the rules that are designed to keep them safe!

So Mayor John until the obvious is addressed…your best bet is to affix every major intersection in the city with a big sign that says—-

“Cross at your own risk.”

And spend a few moments away from your plush office and take in an intersection or two!

How high is too High

Legalization of Marijuana is all the rage in both Canada and those United States…web is saturated with your best chance to make a million on Marijuana.
And some will. More will smoke it, chew it, lick it, vape it, drop some under the tongue as the ways of getting high on pot, up to now available only as a med or from some dealer, unless you were a grower for personal use only, of course.

I’ve never smoked it and my diet prevents me from taking it in brownies or cookies but I have for years advocated its legalization!  And why not?  Governments for decades have complained about the lack of funds so they “can do right” by the people they serve!  Of course we know the undying political desire to serve doesn’t find itself very far from the politician in question,  But we leave that subject for another time.

Legalization of Pot is a money maker.  Colorado has collected millions in tax dollars in less than two years.  California expects a fragrant windfall that will solve many of it’s problems thereby giving taxpayers some relief from high and higher tariffs!  And here in Canada the whole country is going to pot sometime after our National Birthday celebrations( July first-Donald.)  The anticipation is as feverish as the preparations.  But not enough of the planning has turned to what to do about getting high in the workplace!

The problem is obvious as underscored  in the New York Times February 25th…the writer Farhad Manjoo noted that the increasing ways of administering pot will eventually , “make cannabis convenient and ubiquitous.”  He notes, “by breaking marijuana free from smoking and its paraphernalia, new delivery methods are helping cannabis grab a mainstream audience.”  And obviously detection  will be more difficult.  If you can drop some cannabis infused tincture under the tongue to be absorbed within minutes” yielding

an invisible, odorlesss , private high”, the bathroom break will have a new meaningful, two fold purpose!  Who will know?

Last week a conference underscored the fact that the government that will be legalizing cannabis for the nation is not prepared for widespread problems in the work place.  Health Canada’s website makes a passing reference to the concerns expressed by executives in safety-sensitive industries: health, oil and gas transportation.

It greets these concerns with a throwaway note, “impairment in the workplace is not a new issue, and is not limited to cannabis.”   And, “it’s a topic  of an ongoing dialogue with ministers of labour from all jurisdictions.”  Talk.  Talk. Talk.  At the conference a Human Resources executive noted,” there is a sense in the overall employer community that not enough attention is being paid by government and law enforcement to workplace impacts.”

One statistic released by the Canadian Cannabis Survey suggests that many more in the work place will be looking for that Cannabis High than people who now drink on the job.

It revealed that 21.5% of some 10-thousand respondents admitted to using marijuana to get high before or during work last year.  7.7% said they do so weekly..and even daily.

And the approval to use cannabis was not yet.  How many more will welcome its legal status by sucking on a lozenge, chewing gum, applying unguents.

It’s unfortunate but Legalization of Marijuana will double your chances of dealing with a stoned clerk, taxi driver or waiter…….

Please accelerate the training of robots.  The chances are they will be cold, stoned sober!!!

Billy Graham

The man hailed as America’s pastor has died at age 99….
The patriarchal appearing Baptist minister probably preached to and was known by more citizens of the world than any other minister except Jesus Christ whom he represented.
From what we know of his life he was good man, an honest man, a man who feared God and tried to live by his rules!
His sermons were awesome….so inspiring that he changed lives before he was finished speaking…..
For years Billy Graham was Christ’s representative on earth….and the Good Lord kept him on earth as long as humanly possible!
Now he goes to his reward! But what is his reward?
According to his son Franklin, the father believed that his departure from this mortal coil would be followed by his arrival in the Heavenly abode and he would be welcomed by Jesus Christ and the heavenly host!
This is a puzzler.
Because in the Bible that Graham knew, probably better than anyone else in the world….there is NO promise of a heavenly trip when life is over!
There is a promise of Christ’s second coming but there’s no ticket to heaven when you die! The Bible is quite clear that the dead know nothing..and sleep in their graves until the shock and awe of Christ’s return!!
So my question is quite direct..Billy Graham knew this but why didn’t he preach the truth? Furthermore Billy Graham never accepted the challenge thrown out to him about the Seventh Day(Sabbath of the Lord).
He always told his audiences to go to church on sunday….when he knew this was not the Sabbath Day as proclaimed at Creation!
Why did he preach two false doctrines according to the Bible that he knew so well?
I don’t know maybe you do!
